About us
STUDIO ARCHOLOGY DESIGN PHILOSOPHY
We aspire towards a holistic architecture, assessing the wholeness of the contexts of a given project, enhancing both the human activities, with care to the program, functionality, aesthetic, haptic, and culture of the clients, while taking into account and ideally enhancing the natural living systems as well the larger society. All these contexts of the client, nature, and society aid the generation of ideas and forms and meet our longing for architectural coherence and harmony.
At the beginning of a project, we start an in-depth dialogue with our clients about the visions and needs they bring to the project. Simultaneously we are researching the local potentials of the building site and the surrounding ecologies of nature and society, including aspects of the site, program, cultural context, urban conditions, local climate, and regional technology.
Sustainability is an inseparable part of the whole process starting from sketching to implementing the work on site. Using resources judiciously and focusing on not exploiting nature is a value we hope to share with potential clients. Therefore we promote the use of local materials and try to create architecture that is durable and in harmony with the site.
All this is brought into our design process, including ample discussion, brainstorming, sketching, and positive debates. After finalizing the basic structure of the design the construction documents are generated, finally implementing and building the project. The outcomes are earthy, beautiful, functional, sustainable, and innovative spaces strongly influenced by and inclusive of their surroundings.

About Auroville
MOTHER'S VISION AND OUR MISSION
"Auroville will be a site of material and spiritual researches for a living embodiment of an actual human unity." - The Mother
Mother envisioned Auroville as a place on earth which no nation could claim as its own, where all human beings of goodwill who have a sincere aspiration could live freely as citizens of the world and obey one single authority, that of the supreme Truth; a place of peace, concord and harmony where all the fighting instincts of man would be used exclusively to conquer the causes of his sufferings and miseries, to surmount his weaknesses and ignorance, to triumph over his limitations and in-capacities; a place where the needs of the spirit and the concern for progress would take precedence over the satisfaction of desires and passions, the search for pleasure and material enjoyment.
Our Team.
Divij Bhardwaj
PRINCIPAL ARCHITECT
With a deep-rooted passion for design that is both meaningful and transformative, he brings a unique approach to architecture—one that seamlessly blends sustainability, innovation, and timeless aesthetics. A graduate of MNIT Jaipur, his journey led him through a diverse range of architectural practices, from high-end residences to large multidisciplinary firms and hospitality experts.
In 2017, he found his way to Auroville, immersing himself in the study of sustainable materials, vernacular wisdom, and design philosophies that prioritize harmony between space, nature, and people. His work is driven by an instinct to craft environments that are not only functional but also deeply experiential—spaces that evoke a sense of belonging and purpose.
Beyond architecture, he draws inspiration from music and the arts, constantly exploring ways to infuse creativity into every project. Each space he designs is a reflection of this holistic approach—where architecture is not just built, but felt, lived, and remembered.
