Haritham

Haritham, an authentic South Indian restaurant chain, has relocated to the heart of the white town in Pondicherry, occupying the ground floor of an old French building with an open-to-sky courtyard. The challenge was to maintain the existing grid of the building while creating a more open public restaurant. This was achieved by converting existing openings like doors and windows into larger archways, while keeping the structural integrity in mind. The restaurant has an earthy and natural theme, using materials such as Natural kota stone for flooring, terracotta tiles on the walls in combination with natural lime plaster, and maintaining the wooden rafter ceiling.
