MGM Restaurant

The restaurant is replacing a smaller buffet at the heart of a beach resort. Situated on a small island in a small water body at the center of the resort, the new a la carte restaurant for Italian cuisine and seafood will give a new luxury attraction for the guests.​ The natural materials of the thatch roofs and wooden rafters and beams reflect the traditional architecture of fishermen, combined with the modern design language create a rich ambience.

The new structures leave the existing green intact and create an open central space. Next to the kitchen is the main restaurant seating with a bar, which is connected to four pavilions via a canopied walkway. The pavilions are cantilevering over the water to connect the guest to the water, which didn’t feel accessible  before due to the high boundary wall of the island. One of the Pavilions is two stories heigh to provide the beach view to the users on the upper deck.
