Pre-School Coimbatore

The plan is a simple rectangle with a large span structure to keep the space as open as possible for multipurpose use. The building is oriented along the North -South direction, with big openings and Collapsible metal shutters on all sides.

The east is shaded by an apartment building and the south-west prevailing breeze is directed towards the Green Landscape filtering towards the Classroom spaces.

The space is designed in such a way that there are 2 classrooms on each side of the staff/common area, this lets the staff be aware of the movement of the children.

Freedom of movement: collapsible shutters with corridors running all around for kids to move freely along differently designed spaces (climbing wall, sand pit etc.)
