Shireen Residence

The house is designed as a vacation home about an hour away from Chennai, close to the sea. The house opens to the garden in the south in a way that invites the cooling sea breeze, while giving good shading with covered terraces and deep openings.

The simple rectangular built form together with the colonades create the architectual theme for the project. The brief involved 3 bedrooms with a living, dining and kitchen. The ground floor accomodates open living and dining connected to a kitchen and one master bedroom, the first floor gets 2 bedrooms and a common study and entertainment hall.
